Homesick

Some days you just need your mommy. It's been one of those weeks that I'm really missing my parents. Sure I call home but they have been so busy lately all I hear when i call home is voice mail. Nice.......Sometimes I wish they would just stay at home and wait for my call. I'm very selfish when it comes to my parents. I have no problems saying it either. It's been rough to hear stories from home that my parents are hear with them and watching these kids. I'm telling you it's called selfish or jealous.....I want my parents all to myself. We're going home in July for 2 weeks and it's going to be awesome be at the same time I almost feel like I'm out of the loop since I live so far away (thanks Mike). I know that sounds crazy but it's how I feel. I'm trying to work on it.

On a great note my sister in law (big Dan) and brother are getting ready to have their 4th baby in about 5 or so weeks! I can not wait to get home and enjoy some baby Mickey love!!! Oh and spoil my other kids! yeah don't even get me started on the 4th baby! Crazy i tell ya crazy!!

Being Happy is the KEY

As you all know by now my 6yr old Xavier has Autism and he has 12 hours a week of intense ABA. I get phone calls a lot from the director of the program asking me a lot of questions about what I think is too much for Xavier. I've always said and will continue to say I will never be that parent who overwhelms her child with programs after programs not letting up. That's not my goal for Xavier. Sure I want him to learn and grow as much as possible through school and his ABA at home, but I feel sorry for all these children with special needs whose parents never seem to just let them be kids. It's so important for these kids to just be kids and be happy. Why push them so hard?? It really makes me sad for them. With everything we have going on with Xavier I'm very happy to say he's doing awesome and more importantly he's happy. That my friends is the key H-A-P-P-Y! It was nice to hear the doctor who I chat with on the phone about all this say I was a breath of fresh air! He always hears from parents who say they what more programs and can we please get more hours. I say to them please let them be kids. I understand they want help for their child but at what expense?? This is just my opinion and what we do/works for our son.

As you can see from the picture I have a happy Bucci running around :)

Mother's Day

What a Mother's Day I had!! First Michael served me breakfast in bed then he took me shopping! I got so spoiled this Mother's Day, I guess he was making up for all the other Mother's Days he missed. How blessed I am to have 2 beautiful healthy boys to share it with. Although it was hard calling home to hear my mom's voice and not being able to hug and kiss her :( She is the most amazing mother in the world. She has taught me so much about being the best mommy I can be.

Just wanted to share some of my Mother's day gifts!

Finally getting some country up in here!

How awesome is this??!! I love me some Ikea!

It was a perfect day :)

Life as Home Owners

You can call me Nichole the weed pulling Queen! I pulled almost 8 full bags of weeds this weekend. A lot of people will say your nuts but I love doing that kind of stuff. I would so much rather do outside work than inside work any day of the week. Just thankful I didn't come across any snakes!! We have pretty much everything unpacked (thank gosh) and put away. Things are finally starting to look great. I even had a chance to meet a few of the neighbors! It's nice to be outside and as people walk or drive by they throw a little wave your way! At the last house some of the neighbors had big sticks up their butt. This has been a breath of fresh air :)

Oh and what a great weekend we had. I got to go to a party while Michael had both kids for several hours, and Sekota and I had our first play date today. He had a blast. As soon as we got in the car he said "mommy where them kids at"! So all in all I love the new house and excited to meet new friends for Sekota and me :)

Hope you all are doing fantastic! Enjoy your week.
